COVID Response

    • At Forte Music, our first and foremost priority is the well-being of our students, staff and the wider community. We have Face to Face lessons and online lessons available to all our current and potential students ensuring we adhere to social distance procedures.

      A hybrid approach

While we are confident that we are able to teach our students in school, we understand that some families may prefer to stay home at this time. We will continue to offer both online and in school lessons for the remainder of Term 2 & 3.

Updated our Cleaning and Hygiene Protocols

We have deep cleaned both schools, and you may notice things are a little different with instruments being spaced differently, and in our class lessons we will have a reduced class size.

We will also be thoroughly cleaning each instrument after every class, and we are spacing the class times out to ensure a safe crossover.

We have ample hand sanitiser, industrial strength cleaning products and will be conducting regular deep cleans of the school.

      Adjusted our teaching

We are changing the way we teach in some small but important ways. You may notice small changes that will help us keep everyone healthy and well, but we will continue to provide high-quality music lessons.

Amongst many other measures we are putting in place we will no longer be swapping instruments, our teachers are instructed to not adjust hand positions and we are avoiding psychical contact (which means high-5’s are out!). We are also moving all of our students Forte Cash to our new ONLINE BANKING SYSTEM!

      Unlimited makeups

For all of term 2, and possibly for the remainder of the year, we will be offering unlimited makeup lessons.

If you or anyone in your family has any flu-like symptoms – stay home. If anyone presents to the school unwell they will be asked to head home to get better. We appreciate your understanding with this.

We still require notice prior to the lesson.

      Drop-offs for our older students

To ensure that we are keeping our distance and avoiding large numbers of people in the school we are asking our parents to drop off anyone in Music is Fun, Junior Keys and all private students.

We want you to ensure you are able to continue your love for music or learn a new instrument with confidence. We are confident that will all be able to continue to provide our high level of music lessons both face to face and online throughout this uncertain time.

If you have any concerns or have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me via phone or email.

      Yours in music,
      David Doherty – Managing Director
